It currently offers essential tools including payment gateway integrations, logistics management, and e-commerce platform connections. With ONDC integration and a unified user dashboard, UniSouk simplifies online business operations. The platform is actively developing additional features, including a no-code store builder, ERP and accounting integrations, and marketing tools. UniSouk aims to level the playing field for Indian SMEs, enabling them to establish, manage, and scale their e-commerce presence efficiently in today’s competitive digital economy.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a Frontend Lead to guide our frontend development team, set engineering standards, and drive the development of scalable, high-performance user interfaces. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with ReactJs/NextJs and TypeScript, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to align frontend efforts with product and business goals. You will work closely with the CTO and other department leads to deliver a seamless user experience and lead a team of frontend engineers toward excellence.

Responsibilities:

– Leadership & Management:
– Lead, mentor, and manage a team of frontend developers.
– Provide technical direction, architectural guidance, and code quality standards.
– Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and team meetings to ensure productivity and professional growth.
– Collaborate with the CTO to translate product goals into actionable technical plans.
– Allocate resources effectively and help prioritize development efforts based on business needs.
– Technical Execution:
– Design, develop, and maintain scalable and responsive web applications using ReactJs/NextJs with TypeScript.
– Guide the implementation of low-level design solutions, ensuring optimized data flow and API integrations.
– Ensure consistent implementation of frontend best practices, code reuse, and maintainability.
– Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality.
– Work closely with UX/UI designers to ensure visually stunning and intuitive user interfaces.
– Lead efforts in frontend performance optimization, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
– Identify technical debt and champion continuous refactoring where necessary.
– Collaboration & Reporting:
– Serve as the primary frontend point of contact with the product, design, and backend teams.
– Provide regular progress updates, timelines, and risk assessments to the CTO.
– Collaborate on cross-functional project planning and estimation.

Qualifications:

– 5+ years of frontend development experience, with at least 1–2 years in a lead or senior role.
– Expert proficiency in ReactJs/NextJs, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
– Strong understanding of component-driven development and modern frontend architecture.
– Experience with RESTful APIs and state management libraries (e.g., Zustand, Redux).
– Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about UX and technical trade-offs.
– Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor developers.
– Strong communication and project management skills.
– Passion for clean code, scalable solutions, and user-centric design.

Bonus Skills:

– Experience with React Native.
– Familiarity with unit testing frameworks and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
– Knowledge of frontend performance optimization and accessibility best practices.
– Experience with design systems and component libraries.
– Exposure to Agile or Scrum methodologies.
